Fannie P. Phelps WINDSOR - Fannie Pierce Phelps, 96, a native of Bertie County, died April 12, 2003, in Three Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Windsor. She was the widow of Percy Everette Phelps. Mrs. Phelps was the first charter member of Windsor Assembly of God Church where she also served as a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years and as the secretary. Survivors include a son, Percy Francis Phelps; two daughters, Doris P. Hoggard and Dorothy Jean Pierce, all of Windsor; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Windsor Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Chuck Gray. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. |
