Festus Carlise Johnson Jr., 53, died Monday, March 3, 1980, at the Taylor County Hospital. He was a native of Green County, born there November 29, 1926, the son of Festsus Carlise and the late Rosie Yates Johnson, Sr. Mr. Johnson was a resident of Porta Gorda, Florida, and former resident of Taylor County, a member of the Soul's Chapel United Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War II. He was a disabled employee of the Union Underwear Company in Campbellsville. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Margaret Louise Johnson of Porta Gorda, Florida; his father: Mr. Festus Carlise Johnson, Sr.; three sons: James Wesley Johnson and Joseph David Johnson, both of Campbellsville, and Johnny Johnson of Porta Gorda, Florida. Two daughters survive: Mrs. Buddy Hughes of Campbellsville and Mrs. Donnie Smith of Portland, Ky. Two brothers survive: Lewis Johnson of St. Martinsville, Louisiana, and Rex Johnson of Campbellsville; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jack Vibbert. Interment followed in the Griffin Cemetery.
