Shared note	HAMPTON - Doris Miller Lowe, 81, died Saturday, May 31, 1997. A native of Bertie County, N.C., she had been a Hampton resident since 1946 and was a member of West Hampton Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowe retired from the Hampton City Schools in 1981; she served at the cafeterias of Francis Mallory Elementary and Jefferson Davis Junior High School for a combined total of 23 years. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Lowe, and, as the oldest of five children, was also preceded in death by two brothers, Merle and Royce Miller. A very loving and giving mother, she is survived by two sons, Barry Lowe and David W. Lowe, both of Hampton; a sister, Vivian Overton of Ahoskie, N.C.; a brother, David C. Miller of Hertford, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Lisa, Andrew, John and Sarah.
