ETHAN E. MIZELLE COLERAIN - Ethan Elmer Mizelle, 75, a native of Bertie County, died February 14, 2005 at his home. He was born March 3, 1929 to the late William Grandville and Delcie Hoggard Mizelle. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Preston Jernigan and the Rev. Al Hughson. Memorial gifts may be made to either the Bertie County Rescue Squad or to the Askewville Fire Department. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge. Mizelle was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church where he was a trustee. He was also retired from Eastern Fuels. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Brown Mizelle of Colerain; a daughter, Vicki M. Davidson of Colerain; a son, Russell E. Mizelle of Wendell; three sisters, Lilliam M. Evans of Chesapeake, Va., Inetta Mizelle of Colerain and Christine M. Cowand of Merry Hill; a brother, William L. Mizelle of Colerain; and one grandchild.
