Shared note	Maxine Windham Phelps of Cary, formerly of Windsor, died Tuesday June 15, 2004 after a short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Phelps 10 years ago. She is survived by her three children, Dennis Phelps and his wife, Jane of Holly Springs, Alan Phelps of Cary, and daughter, Wendy Brown and her husband, Dennis of Cary. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had two grandchildren, Brandy and Daniel Phelps and two step grandchildren, J C and Logan Whitley. Mrs. Phelps was an award winning crafter and long time participant of the Christmas Carousel Show. Her legacy of uniquely designed ornaments will live on through her family and friends. She was a graduate of the Hardbarger College, and kept the financial books for her family business. She worked in the accounting department for nine years at Oxford University Press before retiring in October 2003. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Cary. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Brown- Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Rd. in Cary. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at
