LINA C. WHITE WINDSOR - Lina Copeland White, 93, of the 100 block of E. Askewville St., died August 31, 2003 in Roanoke Chowan Hospital. She was born in Perquimans County to the late Rev. John E. and Armecia Copeland and was predeceased by her husband, L.J. White Sr. Mrs. White was a member of Askewville Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include daughters, Carolyn White and her husband, Latham, Dorothy Jernigan and husband, T.J. and Anna Jernigan, all of Askewsville; son Livingston "L.J." White Jr. of Edenton; brothers, William Roger Copeland of Askewville, Edward Copeland and wife, Dorothy of Greenville; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Askewville Baptist Church by the Rev. Freddie Harris. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
