Ruth Patton Osborne, 96, of Asheville died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Mountain View Manor in Bryson City following a period of declining health. Ms. Osborne was a native of Whittier and a long-time resident of Asheville. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Patton and Minnie Keener Patton. In addition, she was preceded in death by brothers, Albert (Red) Patton, Jack Patton and Earl Patton; and one sister, Dorothy Caldwell. Surviving are her three sisters, Virginia Patton Estes and Kathleen Patton Booker of Bryson City, and Martha Patton Huggins of Chattanooga, Tenn. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday , June 3 at Bill Moody Funeral Home, Bryson City.
