JOYCE P. PERRY AHOSKIE - Joyce P. Perry, 70, died Aug 23, 2004. Mrs Perry was born June 1, 1934, in Bertie County, NC., a daughter of the late Leo Perry and Vera Baker Perry. She was a charter member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Capps Daniels Drug Store. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband, James Donnis Perry and a daughter, Lois P. Jernigan. Surviving are her children, James Donnis Perry Jr. and Elaine P. Harrell both of Ahoskie; grandchildren, Vicki P. Jenkins, Shannon R. Jernigan, Trina L. Harrell, Amanda H. Perry, Will Jernigan and Jim Perry III; sisters, Martha Baker of Hubbard, TX, Carolyn Lassiter of Manteo, Elsie Williams and Esther Perry both of Colerain, NC, and a brother, Wallace Perry of Colerain. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Ange officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her daughter.
