CATHERINE WHITE WINDSOR - Catherine Matthews White, 96, a native of Bertie County, died November 15, 2004, at Bertie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bertie County on October 27, 1908 to the late Jake O. and Lucy Parker Matthews and was predeceased by her husband Delmar C. White. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a member of Cashie Baptist Church. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dennis Conner. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home and at other times from the home of Dalton White, 112 US 13 North. Memorial gifts may be made to Cashie Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Queen St., Windsor, NC 27983. Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Lee W. Mizelle of Williamston; three sons, Clarence White of Moyock, Dalton White of Windsor and Robert Earl White of Ahoskie; two sisters, Rosa Howe of Norfolk, Va and Sallie Howard of Ahoskie; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. |
