Shared note	A family story survives that when Lemuel went to ask for the hand of Patsy, a sister of his deceased wife, his father-in-law objected saying he was too greedy for his daughters and was too old for a young girl. Lemuel ran out into the yard, jumped over the hitching rack, and replied: "You're no older than we feel and act." He won the girl and they had ten children
