MILDRED P. BAZEMORE WINDSOR - Mildred Pritchard Bazemore, 93, of Taylor Street, died Aug 10, 2005, in Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Bazemore was born in Bertie County, a daughter of the late Raleigh and Cora Jenkins Pritchard. She was a member of Republican Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include a special niece and nephew, Ruth S. Whitehurst of Windsor, N.C. and Ralph P. Tayloe of Franklin, VA; there nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Besides her husband, Benjamin Franklin Bazemore, she was predeceased by two sisters, Thelma P. Smith and Myrtle P. Tayloe. Mildred loved farming, and her great-nieces and - nephews were like grandchildren to her. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. J.N. Baggett and the Rev. Buck Leary officiating. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and will assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Friday, prior to services. Memorial donations may be made to Republican Baptist Church, Windsor, N.C. |
