VIRGINIA C. HARRISON CHESAPEAKE - Virginia Christine Harrison went to be with the Lord November 13, 2004. She was surrounded by her family when the angels took her away. She was born July 17, 1925, in Windsor, NC, to James Vernon Byrum and Harriett Ollivia Byrum. Devoted wife of Ernest Hill Harrison for 55 years, she was predeceased by her parents and first-born son, James Ernest Harrison. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Ernie Howard and wife Cindy, Danny Wayne and Davy Hill and wife Cynthia of Chesapeake; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffery, Julie, Steve, James and David Harrison; three sisters, Allene Sawyer, Alice and Mary Jones; and a brother, William Byrum, all of North Carolina; and a much loved friend and sister-in-law, Lilly Mae Harrison. She was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of Living Water Church of God for 44 years. She was a longtime Sunday School and Children's Church Teacher, giving much of her time teaching other that love of Christ. She had many friends and a great and very much loved church family. Her memorial service was conducted by her longtime friend, brother in Christ and her pastor, the Rev. Jack D. Sawyer. Her internment was at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens on Cedar Road. Words cant describe how much we'll miss you. We love you. |
