A funeral was conducted Wednesday at Ahoskie Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Rodney Hollomon. Burial was in Ahoskie Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, was in charge. Pierce was a sales audit manager with Belk Department Stores and was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Apex.Survivors include his mother, Girien Wall Pierce of Eure; and a brother, Timothy Pierce of Ahoskie.
