Lillian K. Newbern, 88, went to be with the Lord June 5, 2004, in a local hospital. She is survived by two sons, James Arthur Newbern Jr. and Leonard T. Newbern of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Fay Reynolds and husband, Alan and Shirley A. Garrett of Norfolk; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Newbern Sr. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, is handling arrangements. |
