Princeton, NC - Johnie Arvin Baker, 64, of 100 Linda St. died Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Bertie County and was the son of Minnie Kirl Baker and the late William G. Baker. He was a member of of Oakland Friends Church and was a volunteer at the Princeton Senior Center where he served meals to the elderly. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Fred Carraway and Paul Wyatt will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Sudie W. Baker; a daughter, Vicky B. Rowe of Rocky Mount; 3 sons Johnie Baker Jr., Ricky Lynn Baker and Jeffrey A. Baker of Rocky Mount; 2 sisters Nora B. Rose of Moyock and Lois B. Hassell of Roper, 2 brothers W.D. Baker of Seaford, VA. and G.E. Baker of Gloucester, VA; a step-son Timothy D. Westbrook of Princeton, a step-daughter, Teresa Boyd of Princeton and nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home.
