Shared note	Hezekiah Chesson was in the Civil War - entered the NC Infantry in 1861 at age 18. Captured by the Yankees in Orange County, VA. When the war as over, making his way back to Washington County, NC, one night he stayed with the family of Ruth Smaw Blount. Several years later Ruth would become his second wife. When he finally reached his home he found that his first wife, Narcissa Harrison and a child whom he never even got to see had died.
