He removed with his parents to NC and was reared in Wilkes County where he served in the Revolution. He received a pension for his services. In 1793 or 94 he removed to the neighborhood of Nashville and remained there until 1827, when he located in Wayne county, Tennessee where he resided until his death in 1839.
