Shared note	He was a private in the CSA and served with Co. B, 57th Regiment, NC Troops. He was wounded at Fredricksburg, VA when a cannon ball was fired into the ranks. He recovered and was later captured at Farmville, VA on April 06, 1865. He spent the rest of the war at Newport News, VA and was released June 26, 1865.
