He was born in Bertie County on Sept 26, 1930, to the late Joe and Mamie White Hill and was preceded in death by brothers, Rudolph and Garner and a sister, Becky. Mr Hill was a member of Perrytown Assembly of God and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a traffic service foreman. He is survived by his wife Leslie Hill of Windsor, NC; three brothers, Joe Hill and Haywood Hill, both of Windsor and Jim Hill of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Nadine H. Bazemore and Alease H. Askew, both of Windsor; a step- sister, Letha Mae Outlaw of Ahoskie; and a grandson, Ethan Hill. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in Perrytown Assembly of God by the Rev. David Baker. Burial will follow n Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain. The family received friends Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Perrytown Volunteer Fire Department or the Perrytown Assembly of God.
