Harrell, William Harrison, Sergeant: Born in Bertie County where he resided prior to enlisting at Plymouth, NC, on November 28, 1863, at the age of 23. Mustered in as a Private and promoted to Sergeant on February 8, 1864. Present or accounted for until reported as missing in action at Plymouth, April 17-20, 1864. Returned to the regiment at Beaufort, NC, on June 20, 1864. Present or accounted for until transferred to Company D, First Regiment North Carolina Union Volunteers on February 27, 1865.
