ula Iva Sublett, 98, of Coburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996 at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville. Sublett was the daughter of the late George and Kitty Humphress Bault, and was a member of Cane Valley Christian Church. She was married to Chester Sublett, who preceded her in death Sept. 25, 1955. Sublett is survived by five sons, James A. Sublett of Chicago, Adrian Sublett of Louisville, Herman Sublett of Medina, Ohio, Winfrey "Dick" Sublett of Coburg, and Roger F. Sublett of Campbellsville; three daughters, Faye Bennett of Coburg, Ivan Brown of Oneida, Ky., and Mae Knifley of Campbellsville; one brother, Ralph Bault of Coburg; one sister, Annie Cecil Long of Columbia; 15 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 1996 at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia, with Bro. N. T. Patton and the Rev. Don Watson officiating. Burial was in Cane Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Nathan Sublett, Martin Sublett, Clay Sublett, Jeffrey Sublett, Kenny Knifley, and Gene Knifley. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons Wes Sublett and Lyle Knifley.
