Gertrude Baker Dail, 81, of Prime Time Retirement Village, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, in the Chowan Hospital. A native of Bertie County, Mrs. Dail was a daughter of the late James Richard and Bessie Perry Baker. She was the wife of the late James Ulmond Dail. Mrs. Dail was a member of the Capeharts Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons and their wives, James C. ``Pete'' and Mary Elizabeth Dail of Edenton, and Gary R. and Bonnie M. Dail of St. Louis, Mo.; and two sisters, Josephine Newburn of Ahoskie and Beulah Sary of Merry Hill, N.C.; one brother, Edwin Baker of Groveville, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Capeharts Baptist Church Cemetery in Merry Hill by the Rev. Don Williams. The family will receive friends at the Evans Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dail, 1236 Soundshore Drive, Edenton. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity. |
