Shared note

It is unclear who Jacob's father was. His mother was probably Nancy White, daughter of David and Judith White. This conclusion is based on census information. The 1850 census lists Jacob, his siblings and Nancy living in the household of David and Judith White. Later the 1860 census lists Jacob, his siblings and Nancy living next door to "Judy" White. It is quite possible that Jacobs father died just prior to the 1850 census, and the family moved into the White household. More research is needed on these connections.
