John R. Tayloe

Horace Randolph Perry, 72, a retired rural letter carrier, died May 2, 1993, at home. Mr. Perry was born in Bertie County. He married Helen C. Castello of Colerain on April 26, 1943 in Baltimore, Md. He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Colerain Baptist Church and the Colerain Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Helen C. Perry; four children, Cindy Zimmerman of Fayetteville, Ark., Alvah Perry of Homestead, Fla., Steve Perry of Ahoskie and H. Randolph Perry of Laurel, Md.; two brothers, Wallace Perry of Wakelon and John E. Perry of Ahoskie; five sisters, Elsie Williams and Ester Perry, both of Wakelon, Joyce Perry of Ahoskie, Carolyn Lassiter of Manteo and Martha Baker of Texas; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Megan Perry, both of Ahoskie.
