COLERAIN, N.C., Mrs. Vera Baker Perry, 80, died Friday, Nov. 22, 1974 in her home. A native of Bertie county, she was the widow of Leo Perry. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include fours sons, Oliver Perry, Randolph Perry, John E. Perry, and Wallace Perry of Colerain; seven daughters, Mrs. Paul Williams and Mrs. Catherine Henry of Colerain. Mrs. Willie Baker of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Wardell Hollomon of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Stanley Lassiter of Manteo, Mrs. Leon Perry of Aulander, and Mrs. Donnis Perry of Ahoskie; three brothers, Rufus Baker of Merry Hill. George Baker of Colerain, and Raleigh Baker of Winton; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Perry of Colerain; 39 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mars Hill Baptist Church by the Rev B. J. Traywick. Burial will be in the Family Cemetery, Route 2, Colerain. Bryd-Walker Funeral Home,Windsor, has charge. |
