He is survived by his devoted wife, Josephine Williams Pierce; one daughter, Lorraine Davis of Virginia Beach; one son, Winston W. Williams of Annapolis, Md.; one sister, Helen Marshall; one brother, Harry Pierce, both of Ahoskie, N.C.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two nephews. Mr. Pierce was a native of Ahoskie, N.C., and a decorated veteran of WW II. He also retired from Prince William County
