Anna Beulah Baker Sary, 87, of the 1700 block of US 17 North, died July 10, 2005, in Pitt Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Sary was born in Bertie County April 24, 1918, to the late James and Bessie Perry Baker and was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Michael Sary. She was a member of Capeharts Baptist Church and the owner and operator of the Jersey Motel for more than 37 years. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Sary of Kill Devil Hills; sons, Marvin Sary of Trenton, N.J., Joseph "Terry" Sary of Bordentown, N.J., Jerry Sary of Merry Hill and Gregory Sary of Windsor, N.C.; a brother, Edwin Baker of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Debranann Conti, Joey, Danny, Chad, Kevin, Justin and Jodey Sary; and seven great-grandchildren, Clayton, Heather, Benjamin and Joey Sary and Carley, Daniel and Anne Conti. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Windsor, by the Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow in Capeharts Church Cemetery, Merry Hill.
